How can I be part of the Grande Parade?
To participate in the Grande Parade, please fill out the 2026 Grande Parade Application on our Forms & Applications page.
What is the route of the Grande Parade?
The Elk Rapids Harbor Days Grande Parade takes place on River Street. The route starts at the west end of River Street and travels east, ending at Bridge Street.
Is there a fee to watch the Zambelli Fireworks show?
No, the Zambelli Fireworks show is funded by donations and sponsorships. If you would like to make a contribution, please consider becoming a Friend of Elk Rapids Harbor Days or a sponsor.
Do events still take place if it rains?
Most events take place rain or shine. However, some events may be delayed, modified or canceled depending on weather conditions and safety concerns.
If there is a weather-related delay for the Zambelli Fireworks show, we will postpone the start for up to 30 minutes. If conditions do not improve within that time, the fireworks will be canceled and will not be rescheduled. The decision is made in consultation with the Elk Rapids Fire Department, Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor harbormaster and Elk Rapids Harbor
Days Board of Directors, with safety as the top priority.

Are pets allowed at the festival?
Yes, pets are allowed at the festival but must be leashed and in compliance with this Village of Elk Rapids ordinance.

Are there food and beverages available at the festival?
Yes, in addition to local restaurants, the following food trucks will be located at the tennis court parking lot near Veterans Memorial Park:

- Lambert’s Olde Fashion Homemade Ice Cream
- The Rogue Pierogi LLC
- Tots N Tots of Burgers
On Saturday, August 8, Nate’s Best Kettle Corn and Why Knot Pretzels will also be available on River Street during the Grande Parade and Zambelli Fireworks.

Where can I park?
Free public parking is available throughout Elk Rapids, including downtown streets and designated public lots. Parking can fill quickly during popular events such as the parade and fireworks, so we recommend arriving early and allowing extra time to find a spot.
Limited handicap-accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please obey all posted parking restrictions and avoid blocking driveways, sidewalks or emergency access routes. If you have questions about parking regulations, restrictions or accessibility accommodations, please contact the Village of Elk Rapids directly.
