Call for Elk Rapids Harbor Days Association Board Members

Are you passionate about the local Elk Rapids community and event planning? We’re looking for dedicated individuals to help plan the beloved Elk Rapids Harbor Days, a four-day community festival held annually in Downtown Elk Rapids.

Why Join the Board?

As a board member, you’ll play a vital role in:

• Planning and executing the annual Elk Rapids Harbor Days festival.
• Guiding financial and operational strategic decisions.
• Collaborating with sponsors, nonprofits, volunteers and local leaders.
• Creating inclusive, community-driven festival events that align with local values and traditions.

Who Should Apply

We’re excited to welcome people who:

• Love Elk Rapids and its vibrant culture.
• Bring positive energy, creativity and a collaborative spirit.
• Possess experience in areas like event planning, fundraising, marketing, finance, nonprofit leadership or volunteer coordination. (Preferred but not required)
• Can commit time to monthly board meetings, weekly board meetings in July, one full week of hands-on involvement during the Elk Rapids Harbor Days festival and additional hours throughout the year as part of a working board.
• Are ready to pitch in behind the scenes and onsite at the festival.
