Small town celebration with a big reputation in northern Michigan; consider making it a part of your summer plans.
Located on the enticing water’s edge and offering the opportunity to relax and enjoy the four day celebration. Harbor Days Association President Tom Near and the board of directors bring alive, historic Elk Rapids by celebrating its wonderful harbor and town.
The celebration begins on Wednesday evening with the much-anticipated opening night “Evening on River Street.” Enjoy a street fair atmosphere with a cornucopia of sights and sounds to satisfy your appetite for food, music and entertainment.
The days following include activities geared to the young and old alike, sandcastle building, outstanding musical entertainment, sports tournaments, movie in the park, carnival, Kids Day activities, races and so much more.
The Harbor Days celebration culminates on Saturday with multiple activities including the parade down River Street, showcasing floats, antique vehicles, walking units, music, and of course Miss Elk Rapids. At dusk, you will be able to witness one of the best fireworks displays in northern Michigan provided by world famous Zambelli’s pyrotechnics as they light up the sky and reflect on the water below.
