Important 2016 Parade Information –
Thank you for participating in our 61st Harbor Days Parade! With the parade being one of the main highlights
of the festival we are sure your entry is going to be a hit with the crowd.
Important points to make note of for the driver of your entry:
Registration and line-up for the parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. just off of US 31 on South Bayshore by
Twisted Fish (see parade map)
You must be in line by 10:30 a.m. to insure availability for judging. Judging will begin at 11:00 a.m. This
year’s judges will include our 2016 Grand Marshals Dan and Margaret LeBlond.
Entries will be judged in a single category chosen by the Parade Committee to be most applicable for your
Walkers and Riders joining an entry:
Individuals walking or riding with your entry do not need to be present at registration. They can park at the
First Presbyterian Church (see map) and be transported to the parade route via our courtesy shuttle between 9
a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Individuals can meet their parade entry on their own using any of the side streets however keep in mind all
side streets will be blocked from entering South Bayshore.
Mr. and Mrs. Cameron will greet you at the registration table at the entrance to South Bayshore and
provide you with your parade line-up number that will be placed on the front right side of your entry.
During the Parade:
Safety is our primary goal when the parade is in motion. Please remember that any items passed out
along the parade route must be handed to the intended recipient and not thrown from cars, trucks, floats
or by walkers.
The parade is a go Rain or Shine – remember to come prepared for any weather conditions… Umbrella,
Sunscreen, water, etc.
